I have been a practicing lawyer since 1982. The first 18 years of my career were spent as a trial lawyer for a small boutique personal injury firm in New York City representing clients with severe personal injuries, including those involving medical malpractice claims and traumatic brain injuries. In 2000, I opened my own practice in Westchester where I re-focused my areas of practice to include the representation of clients with residential, commercial and business-related transactions, land use, planning and zoning law, business formation and consultation, and general litigation. I maintain my office for the practice of law in Tarrytown, New York, and represent individuals and businesses throughout the Hudson Valley.
I earned my BS degree at SUNY-Buffalo in an Independent Major in Environmental Science, Policy and Planning, and my JD degree from The School of Law of The State University of New York at Buffalo. I was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1982.
I live in Rye Brook, New York with my wife, Bethany (an adolescent nurse practitioner) and our four children (one in graduate school, two in college and one in high school). Public service has always been an important avocation of mine. I was elected to three consecutive terms as a Trustee of the Blind Brook School District, Board of Education during which I personally oversaw the creation and management of $40 Million operational budgets and multiple $15+ Million facility construction projects. In addition, I have served on the Village of Rye Brook’s Planning Board, Airport Advisory Committee, and Parks and Recreation Council, and am currently a Trustee of Congregation Kneses Tifereth Israel, Port Chester, New York.
